![]() ![]() OK, done ! There is no folder on the mail account on the ISP-server named ARKIV Only the new one (Arkiv) which holds only the folders I want to keep. For some reason Roundcube manages to "hide" them (Outlook doesn't) Any new ideas ? Thanks :) There are no mails in them (as expected) but the folders exist. If i use cpanel (for admin) and look at the mail account i can see the folders. In that mail-client the deleted folders are not visible. Sync with what ? What should i tell them ? If i open the mail-account using webmail i believe i am looking at the mails stored on the ISP server (not the local os-file). I'm not sure what it means that the ISP should resync the mailbox. Please gimme a shout if i have misunderstood. ![]() But using an existing garbage account instead. I think I'm doing what you are suggesting above. It seems to be copied (not moved) since the folder now is visible in both mail accounts. I guess you all have such a trash bin :) I have tried to move the empty sub-folders in my good account (ARKIV) to the Trash folder in the garbage account. One of them is used for "garbage", Typically used when expecting spam from the company/person i am communicating with. For Lisa: I have 3 mail accounts (using the same ISP). This time it is visible both in the Trash-folder and its original place. That happens so quick that i cant even click the Trash -> Empty Folder before it is visible in it's old place. I have tried to "just" delete folder as suggested, but same issue: folder pops up again. I did look through registry to see if there was some entries there which was holding the names of these folders, but none was found ! VERY frustrating ! only show subscribed folders" BUT these b**&%ยค)(/**dy folders reappear again I have also tried to rename the folders and prefix them with a "999-" so they appear at the bottom of the ARKIV-list but then they double up so now i have twice as many empty folders as before (with old and new name). (i have not found a way to delete the subfolder itself (only the mails in it)) Then I have deleted the account from my local Outlook 365 setup Also deleted the local ost-file in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook I then try to set up the mail account from scratch on my local PC The old (empty) folders reappear I then try to hide these empty folders by unsubscribing them (Outlook -> Folder -> IMAP Folder -> Tab: Subscribed -> select folders + "unsubscribe" ) + tick the bottom box called "When displaying hierarchy. I have deleted all the emails in these subfolders on the ISP-side (using cpanel / webmail interface). ![]() ![]() The problem now is to get rid of/hide the original subfolder in ARKIV. I'm trying to make this process a bit lighter so I have extracted apx half of these subfolders to pst-files and will keep them only on my local PC. so pretty big, and it takes some time to synchronize every time i start up Outlook. In total the local copy of the ost-file is 4GB. Connecting to the ISP using IMAP and syncing all emails to my local PC I have set up a subfolder in Inbox called ARKIV where i have apx 40 various folders grouped by various subjects. Calling out for an Outlook-expert :) Outlook version 2011 (Build 13426.20404-Click-to-run) I'm currently using a local ISP to hold all my emails. ![]()
